We at the linux-society are very
concerned about security. The servers we build use only up-to-date system
software and we try to ensure that no intrusion will be left unattended. Our
servers rely on a mixture of intrusion detection, intrusion prevention and
strict security rules.
Nevertheless, security is always an assessment between convenience, cost,
and usability. During intense consulting meetings between sysadmins and company
management we develop a security-plan and implement it immediately.
Keep in mind: security must fit!
